Accuracy of Miniscrew Insertion Using a Customized Printed Three-Dimensional Surgical Guide (A Comparative Split Mouth Study)

Aim of the study This was conducted to evaluate accuracy a new constructed 3D CBCT image–based surgical guide for miniscrew implantation . Materials and Methods Twenty five adult patients were included in current (13 males 12 females). Mandibular arch every patient randomly divided into : one experimental side ( miniscrews placed using ) comparison conventionally without guide. For both sides (experimental side); Linear measurements recorded on software coronal deviations, apical deviations vertical Also , angular mesiodistal buccolingual dimensions actual plan real mini screws At end all calculated statistical analysis performed. Results A significantly higher level (lower differences from value) achieved with technique (p < 0.001) than hand drilling Conclusions Three Dimensional guides provide precise method placement dentoalveolar bone.
